A Subaru Outback isn’t just a practical car; it’s also a fun one! And you can definitely take on an adventure in your Outback. Heck, you can even take on the Outback in your Outback! Here are some tips on how to go on the ultimate adventure with your Subaru Outback.
Going on some rough roads? Opt for stronger wheels. Adventurist Wes Siler turned his Outback into what he likes to call an “Adventuremobile” and chose Method Race Wheels’ MR502s. They’re similar to what the Subaru Rally Team uses so you know they’ll perform well. For tires, Siler chose Maxxis Bravo A/T 771s, which give you two more inches of sidewall, enabling you to ride with lower tire pressure and therefore increase your overall traction.
Protect the important parts underneath your car with a skid plate. This attaches to the bottom of your car and protect vital elements like your transmission and oil.
If you’re a serious off-roader, you might get into some mud, which could get you stuck. You’ll want equipment to free you, so add traction aids and an ARB snatch strap to your list.
Finally, top your Subaru with a roof basket that can bear more weight than the Outback’s roof rack. Now you’re ready for a Subaru Outback adventure!
