Subaru’s annual Share the Love event was incredibly successful, with nearly $20 million in donations from 2015. This is the eighth year for the event, with a total of nearly $70 million since 2007. This is just one more way Subaru is giving back.
According to Subaru, the Subaru Share the Love event donates $250 for every new Subaru model sold or leased. The money goes to the charity of the buyer’s choice, ranging from multiple local and national charities. The four national partners for 2015 were ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, and the National Park Foundation. There were also 630 local charities from across the country.
“Subaru drivers, retailers and employees share a passion for making a difference in our communities, and nowhere is that more evident than through the Share the Love program,” said Alan Bethke, vice president of marketing for Subaru of America, Inc. “In the eighth year of this terrific event, we are proud to have reached nearly $70 million in donations to national and local organizations that are making a tremendous impact in communities throughout the country.”
Many local dealers also did matching programs, which led to an additional $690,000. The precise total for 2015 was $19,190,428. That’s an impressive number; nonetheless, Subaru hopes to beat it next year.
