Automotive enthusiasts have been clamoring for a most powerful version of the Subaru BRZ and now it looks like they might get their wish. The Subaru BRZ STI Sport Concept debuted in Tokyo towards the end of 2016 with a stunning look. The Tokyo Auto Salon bears the name of the brand’s performance division, which bodes well for hopeful enthusiasts.
There’s no word on if the concept will ever truly make it to production. Even worse, there’s no guarantee the sports car would even make it to United States roadways.
The Subaru BRZ STI Sport Concept could very well just be styling practice for designers. The aggressive body kit boasts special 18-inch alloy wheels, an athletic front bumper, and a Bordeaux Red interior.
Speed enthusiasts have long been waiting for a more powerful BRZ coupe. The current 2.0-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine delivers 205 hp. That’s quite a bit of pep for such a small car and the precision handling certainly speaks wonders for the overall design.
The BRZ STI Performance Concept originally debuted at the 2015 New York Auto Show. This second appearance gives hope that we may one day see a performance-oriented BRZ.
We here at Hawk Subaru can’t wait to see what comes of the Subaru BRZ STI Sport Concept!
